Didsbury Sixth Form is celebrating a second fantastic set of A Level results, building on last year’s success.
An impressive one in five students achieved an A* or A in all their subjects, with a third of all grades awarded at A* or A.

Our Class of 2026 leaves an outstanding legacy as students depart Didsbury Sixth Form to attend some of the country’s most prestigious institutions.
In only our second year of results, we saw improvements across key metrics, including an increase in the average point score, with two thirds of all grades awarded at A*-B. Our average grade across all subjects and students was a B.

These results are a testament to the hard work, perseverance and aspiration of our students, as well as the dedication of the teachers, support staff, parents and carers who have guided them throughout their Sixth Form journey.
Student success has led to confirmed places on courses including Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Psychology, Engineering, Economics, and Politics with International Relations.

With 65% of students securing places at their first-choice university, this year’s cohort will progress to leading institutions including York, Bristol, Leeds Conservatoire, St Andrews, University of the Arts London and UCL.
Three students have secured places at Oxford and Cambridge to study Biology, Architecture and Classics, while another student will continue their studies in the USA.

The destinations secured by this year’s leavers demonstrate the diverse aspirations and progression pathways pursued by our students.
Katie Houghton, Head of School, passed on her congratulations to the students and remarked:
