Didsbury High School is celebrating another set of outstanding GCSE results and is extremely proud of the accomplishments of all students.

An impressive 41% of all grades awarded were grade 7 or higher, demonstrating remarkable academic performance across all subjects. Among the standout achievements, eight students secured all grade 8s and 9s, the equivalent of straight A*s under the previous grading system.

In English and Maths, 63% of students achieved a grade 5 (a strong pass) or above in both subjects, and four out of five students achieved at least a grade 4 in both subjects. This is a real testament to the hard work and resilience of our students.

Didsbury High School’s Year 9 cohort also achieved exceptional results in their languages GCSEs, with 76% of students achieving a grade 5 or higher and almost half of the cohort achieving a grade 7 or above, equivalent to an A or above in the previous grading system.

Across these results, Didsbury High School has significantly exceeded national averages, demonstrating its Unapologetically Aspirational ethos for every student.

Katie Houghton, Head of School, said:
“These Year 11 students have been an absolute credit to themselves over the last five years and should be immensely proud of their personal and academic achievements. They have worked so hard, with the support of our amazing staff, to achieve some incredible things. I am also thrilled that so many will be continuing their education with us in our Sixth Form.”
