Meet our SEND Team

Within our SEND team, we have a SENDCo, SEND Lead, a number of specialist roles and Learning Support Assistants.  Our SENDCo and SEND Lead work alongside the Heads of Year and Heads of House to monitor student progress. They will ensure that your children have every opportunity to become the best they can be.

Our SEND Leads liaise with parents, carers, students and outside agencies to ensure that reasonable adjustments are in place to allow students to be fully included and supported in every aspect of school life. The SEND leadership team can be contacted at: [email protected]

SEND Leads

Mr Brumfitt

Director of Inclusion and SENDCO

Mr Brumfitt works alongside the SEND leads and coordinates SEND provision across the school. He is a key point of contact for students, parents and carers.

Mrs Percival

KS3 SEND Lead

Mrs Percival leads with SEND provision for the Year 6-Year 7 transition. She oversees provision for Year 7 and Year 9, working closely with students, parents and carers and the other SEND leaders.

Mr Sarkissian

SEND Lead

Mr Sarkissian leads with SEND provision for a designated year group, working closely with students, parents and careers and the other SEND leaders.

Miss Wynne

KS4 SEND Lead

Miss Wynne leads with SEND provision for KS4 and Sixth Form, working closely with students, parents and careers and the other SEND leaders.

Specialist Roles

There are also several specialist roles within the team which include:

  • Literacy Specialist
  • Numeracy Specialist
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Specialist
  • Psychometric Assessor

Our specialist staff carry out one to one interventions and small group sessions with our students where necessary. They also track and monitor progress data to ensure that students make progress within their respective areas.

Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)

Our Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) support students in lessons and around school. At primary school, they may have been called a Teaching Assistant or TA. Our LSAs are attached to specific year groups, which helps them get to know students well and understand their individual needs.
