Joining Sixth Form

Dear Student,

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to all students who currently hold an offer for Didsbury Sixth Form. We hope you enjoyed your Induction Morning and taster sessions and got a sense of the subjects, teaching, and opportunities available at Didsbury Sixth Form.

Registration will take place on GCSE Results Day, Thursday 20 August 2026.
We hope the information below helps to answer any questions you may have. A full induction programme will take place in September.

In the meantime, we wish you a relaxing and enjoyable summer break and look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

Results Day Timetable

You can register for Didsbury Sixth Form on GCSE results day, Thursday 20th August 2026.

Here are the registration times:

Internal Applicants
9am – 10.30am

External Applicants
10.30am – 12pm

Confirmation of Place
Late Afternoon

If you do not currently attend Didsbury High School you will need to bring the following with you:

Your GCSE results statement (it would be really helpful if you can bring an additional copy)
Photographic ID (original document, not a photocopy) that contains your date of birth (ideally a valid passport)
If you do not have a British passport, please bring evidence that you can live and study in the UK.

First Day of Term

The timings for the start of term are as follows:

Wednesday 2nd September 2026 – Year 12 only

10am – 12pm – Year 12 orientation

1:30pm – 3:15pm – Year 13 orientation

Thursday 3rd September 2026 – All students return

8.20am start – first full day of term for Year 12 and Year 13
