From Pride Rock to proud parents and carers, Didsbury High School Students stunned the audience with their first ever school production, Lion King Jr.

The production took place over three successive nights after two years of blackout due to Covid restrictions.

The show featured a range of young and founding students who all have different experience in theatre from inside and outside of school, with several students playing their first principal role.

The production was a spoken and singing performance which showcased the talent in the Performing Arts and Music departments with live African drums played by students.

The cast took us through the story of a young lion learning what it will be like to become king and take his farther place leading the pride.

Congratulations to all the students who were involved and thank you to the production staff for making the performance one we will never forget!
